Re: Portal 2 - Holy ****!

Just bought the game on steam yesterday and loving it!

The engine might be old, it's one of the greatest developed last few years. I absolutely love the physics in this engine.
Can't wait to continue testing, For Science!

Re: Video driver problem?

Great! thanks for the replies! Changing the video card did the trick. The world of Eschalon is looking smooth again :D It must have been the card it self, maybe something the Eschalon engine uses that did't work so well on the video card. The tricky part was that other games usually work fine. What ...

Video driver problem?

Hi guys! I'm having trouble running Eschalon Book II on my desktop pc. After about 2 minutes playing, the screen starts flickering, some GUI / tile graphics dissappear for a few frames, and after having this for about half a minute, the screen starts having "misplaced pixels". And this doe...

Re: Game development skills?

I'd go with some language like blitzmax or Bennu, which is a bit easier to start with and you'll get your first results a bit quicker. But if you want total control and (almost) no limits, then C / C++ is the way to go. All 3 languages I named can be used in Windows, Linux and Mac too I think. Havin...

Re: DarkLight Dungeon

Hi jzoeller! Nice job with the level design! It looks like it's good for hours and hours of exploring :) I'm no 3D game expert, but I would add a few more details like those in the very first screenshot, and use them to cover the streight lines of the cave/dungeon levels a bit. keep up the good work!

Re: Eschalon Book 3 conceptual UI (with images!)

Hi! nice job on redesigning the GUI Kxmode :) While I like what you've done here (though I agree with sirdilznik on the location of the Minimap) esp. in regards to making the actual playable screen area much larger, it should be noted that BW has said that there will be no changes to the UI in Book ...

Re: A little something I'm working on

Hi! Impressive AI! did you design it yourself or is it a build in feature of gamemaker? In c++/c# this would be quite a few pages of code :? I also like the animations and characters. Is it a lot of work designing the models the way you want? I am interested in character modeling and animating as I'...

Re: Hello. \O

I thought that is how it would be, but no harm in checking. I already have the demo, so all that is left to do is buy myself a key, which I will do this instant. :D Good choice! Hi, I'm also new here, but I've been playing both games for a while now. And I've been following this website since the d...
