Thank you! Being a fighter I did not have the charm spell but the map file trick worked. I had to kill a couple blackwater guards to get back into town but I was able to complete the quest so far seemingly without other issues. Appreciate it.

So I got the quest, got the acorn, returned to the quest giver but he appears to be hostile now. Maybe I took something of his and didn't notice the notification? Will this go away or will he refuse to speak to me forever? Is there anything I can do?

New to the game, did some searching but I can't seem to find how to get into the locked bedroom on the second floor of "The Minotaur" tavern in Elderhollow. Is it something I'll get a key and come back to?
