It strikes me that this could be the same problem I am having. What specs do you have? What gfx card do you have?

I am running on a Surface Pro and windowed runs fine, full screen slow. Eb2 runs fine in both windowed and full screen.

Excellent news. Book 1 is working for me too. Looks like the issue is fixed with book 1!

Thanks for the update. Steam seems to have very limited technical support. Or at least on the consumer end... hopefully they have a better team devoted to the developers. I had this problem on my play through of book 1. To be honest though, all i did was completely exit the game and reload. If it happened again on reloading the game, it wouldn't on the second go. Out of 25 odd hours of game play across, I'd say, 30 starts of the game... it would have happened 5 or so...

Awesome! I finished book 1! Loved it so much. Put about 24 hours into it of play time. Tried to complete everything. I assume the add-on that was once planned for book 1 was scrapped? Well for good or bad, I was pretty detailed in my steam ticket. I added the Console dump, even directed them to this thread to see its not just a one-off occurrence.

Hopefully there is something they can do on their end too...
