Re: Swords and Sorcery – Underworld
The game looks interesting but I am put off by the anime/childish type graphics of some of the enemies. Honestly, your much better off waiting for Redshift's next party based game that does everything better than this. Are any of the current Redshift RPG's worth a play? They mostly look like IPhone...

What do you mean by clunky? Doesn'tfeel that way to me.Sslaxx wrote:Tried the demo of this game, and it feels a bit too clunky for my tastes. And Redshift aren't getting my business because of their frankly lousy way of "supporting" PC users. Sheesh.

Re: Antharion
I backed this, even though the graphics looks a tad cartoony I still think it looks like my kind of game where you can go anywhere and do what you want. Glad the second kickstart campaign succeeded.

Played Arcanum? I dont think its solo but you add NPC's to your party. It feels alot like these types of games. It's a much better game than Lionheart.

Re: Avadon The Black Fortress.
Been playing this game lately, seems pretty good. I agree its not as wide open as other spiderweb games, feels more like Baldur's gate II style but I do like the animations and graphical improvements. Seems like the areas are still filled with interesting stuff to explore and there is some choices a...

Re: Avadon: The Black Fortress
I appreciate your feedback and I wasn't trying to be talked out of it
My problem is lack of time and too many games. I will probably give the demo another go sometime soon.

Re: Theyrin - an indie RPG (WIP)
Wow you have made quite a bit of progress in just a month. Much farther than I did in a month when I tried to make my own game.
Please keep posting updates as we need more indy RPGs!
Curious what your using for your engine programming?

Re: Avadon: The Black Fortress
That's dissapointing. My favorite part of games are freely explorable.
I dont mind a linear main story if the world is explorable like Eschalon but it sounds like the world in Avadon is not openly explorable. If that is the case I think I will pass on it.

Re: Avadon: The Black Fortress
So Al3xand3r, it sounds like your saying the game is linear like the IcewindDale games?
I still might get the game but I don't like linear games much.

Re: jaded gamer seeks info on good rpgs . . .
Dont feel bad about not finishing RPGs, I think I finish about 30% of those that I start. I think there are a few different reasons for this; 1) They take a dam long time to finish, 40 hours are the shorter ones.. 2) I find that starting a game and being introduced the world and the gameplay in the ...

Re: Avadon: The Black Fortress
So for those who have played this game what are you impressions? I'm hearing that is "streamlined" which seems and odd choice for an indy RPG. I dont care for health regeneration in games (At least not real quick regen)...so any thoughts? I played the demo a bit and wasn't real impressed, ...
