Oh my lord. I thought I was ready for this one.
I was not ready for this one
I suppose I should have realised that when I kept getting blown up just trying to get into the dungeon. I finally figured out the optimum positioning for the fused keg while running like hell for shelter :)

Re: Would you purchase the soundtrack if it was available?
I'd certainly be willing to purchase an mp3 download for €10; £10 sterling comes to something over €12 so that's good also.
Heck, if it went to €15 I'd be in!

Re: ESCHALON TRILOGY - Q&A (SPOILERS)
I agree about that; the ending is a great attempt to do something new and different on BW's end. Instead of getting the prepared answer about who is the good guy and who is the bad guy, or getting the 'heroic' ending, we have to take responsibility for our decision and our choice.

Re: ESCHALON TRILOGY - Q&A (SPOILERS)
Part of the problem is that there are two cataclysms.
The first, the one everyone (Malkur, Erubor, Karamiklan, the Wizard in Old Moonrise, the other Orakur) agrees on is the opening of the Great Rift in Crakamir which will result in a mega-volcano releasing clouds of dust and ash and radioactive ...

Playing through the Tower again and definitely noticing a change. Great fun (I'm leaving the Deathbringer Room till last) and I really dislike Albert - from what I can see, with all his sneaky traps, cursed artefacts and love of explosions, he was a most unpleasant type.

Re: Book III Mod Discussion - New Ending?
This could happen before you choose which side to fight for. I see the potential. Does anyone else?
I admit, I was a bit disappointed with the ending - not the open-ended, ambiguous "Who was telling the truth or was anyone at all sincere?", since that was a brave move on BW's part not to give us ...

Re: Omentor Temple: Stuck at the entrance
Yep, that's what I did - got so sick of trying to disarm the traps (and getting blowed up) that I said "Oh, fudge!" and hunted down a scroll of Elemental Armour, cast the spell, and walked over the lava in preference to being tricksy with traps.
Hurt less, was faster, and much less frustrating :D

Re: Book III Mod: The Mystery of Rockhammer Mine
All I have to say for the new mod is WOW :D
Enjoying it immensely, even though I managed to get myself killed by a Brimstone Spider. Plenty to explore, lots to find, all manner of hidden passages neatly tucked away - this is excellent and I am very grateful for the hard work.

It reminded me of the bells in Book I - I used to spend time playing with them (before hanging them on the tree for the points) just because they made such a lovely sound

Compress Atmosphere. Stand on the other side of the river so you're out of their magic zapping range, hit them with this, refresh mana points either by potion or camping for as long as it takes.
Slightly tedious, but when they've been able to resist everything else I threw at them and hit me harder ...

Re: ESCHALON TRILOGY - Q&A (SPOILERS)
One way, in-game, of finding out is it genuine or not is to side with Malkur and help him win. Then go back to the wizard in Old Moonrise with the prediction machine and find out how soon exactly "soon" means when it comes to the cataclysm that is supposed to happen.
