I virtually did it all in MC1, and then went rushing to do the needed quests only to find that some old fella in bed gives me an extra heap of days! In other words, I could have finished every quest. And this was with a bunch of layabouts making money, getting fitted for armour and memorising spells...

While deciding on my weapon...

I thought I would think of my new character. My first was a Paladin sword fighter with some devine magic. However, I think Alchemy would be nice this time around for potions and weapon improving. I wish to make my new character based on Robert Howard's Conan. So essentially a Barbarian with stealth ...

Thats one hell of a sword.

Jack Thompson would be interested in a game that promotes murderous backstabbing in order to get the best weapon ingame ;)

And do you have to move away? Or does it work when standing still flailing about?

I'd love to retry Dragon Wars unfortunately it won't play on my A4000. It only worked with Kickstart 1.1 and I got rid of my A1000 2 years ago. Just play it on Windows. The graphics are not quite as good as an Amiga, but because I played the C64 version, that never affected me. The sound was never ...

What? With hide in shadows you can just stand there and kill things without any return fire? How does that work?

I used a sword my first game and it was ok. Then someone posted how much they liked the axe, so I did Cleaving for my next game and I like it much better. Plus I found a 2500 gp axe somewhere when I was playing sword, I am still looking for that axe in my new game. Also using Bless when you battle ...

Swords, Cleavers or Bashers?

Going to start a new game soon, and wanted to know what people here thought of the different weapon types. Are any of them plainly better than the others? I used Swords on my first playthrough, and they did the job even though I remembered seeing quite a few good cleavers and bashers around.

Saw it thrown about on the Codex, tried demo, didn't mind what I saw. Waited around a bit until I had a little spare money to burn, then bought it.

Why not just blend the two and go with Religious Sex? That way we can sneak in some more politics without anyone noticing.

He should go for the Mac crowd in a big way. Vogel makes a good killing in this department, and Mac reviewers tend to take on Indy's much more easily, with less corruption needed to get their attention.

Well, I can't believe anyone would love Wasteland, since the interface is so horrible it it impossible to play. Not to mention all of it's other bad qualities, such as no dialogue and such. Sure, it has some extremely good qualities that would be great to have in today's games, but that doesn't mea...

Oh yes...Cats eye was a real life saver for me, especially during the first half of the game. Turn off torch, cast cats eye, manage to scrape through. Before I learned that little advantage by accident I was considering scrapping my character that seemed too weak. He managed to make it through the g...
