Are we talking permanent +3 on weapons, or temporary buff?

Re: A question about stats and what they really effect

Thanks everyone for offering up a few answers.

I've come to realize the biggest benefit for melee is to keep upgrading the skill that effects the preferred weapon.

Once I got my first melee feat, well ... the to-hit worries faded. :D

Having a lot of fun, almost feels like a trip down memory lane ...

Re: Dragonel nest

I found something in a bottle that I threw at it and the dragonels just seemed to burst into fla....., (well they got really hot) as they exited the nest as I beat on it with my fists ... for a very long time.

A question about stats and what they really effect

First, let me get my Fanboy stuff out of the way.

Great job on book 2 folks and thanks for the email saying book 2 was released!!

My question is what exactly does strength effect?
Is strength primarily for wearing heavier armor and carrying more loot?
My character has 22 strength now at level 3 ...

Re: couple beginner questions

I always take unarmed at char creation so I can bash doors and chests without getting hurt, or hurting my weapon.

I leave the skill at 1, it's something to fall back on if your weapon breaks and you're miles from a smith.

Re: A few suggestions

I would like to hear more music of the same quality you've given us in book I. I'd also like to carry a character over to book II with all his equipment and items.

MOST importantly, I would like book II released now...or sooner. :)

I too am a cheater, that's right I said it.

I do try to contain my cheating until I've beaten a game fair and square first...but, after that is accomplished, it can be fun to see just how much you can get away with. heh heh

Keep on the Borderlands

Hey all,

I just thought I let everyone know that the Circle of Eight has released their Keep on the Borderlands, (B2 to all you old time DnDers) complete remake of Atari's Tower of Elemental Evil. TOEE was a good game, stayed pretty close to DnD rules and also has turned based combat.
The remake is ...

I found the chest you get your first letter and a bag of coins from to be a good spot to store things safely. I forgot the guys name, SE corner of the first town.
