Im in the House of Shame and I Like it
I gotta tell ya, is it just me or did the female npc characters get 150% more seductive and beautiful. Even the dwarves look like Anne Hathaway Knockouts. Its friggin awesome! Im in the middle of a quest and Im like damnit I forgot what Im supposed to do.

Re: Mage vs. Fighter
Well a mage vs. fighter mage would win at low levels. I remember attacking father michael (book 1) he destroys you early on if you are a fighter. Once fighter gets later on in the game and gets magic and elemental resistance, its almost impossible to take down a warrior with high resistances. You do...

Re: General Thoughts on Book III, So Far (some SPOILERS)
Fighters are actually some damn good damage dealers if you play right. Get high strength, speed or dex (for piercing) get move silent to 5 skill level. Approach something in the corner, let it come to the edge, Save, go in powerstrike mode and surprise hits, you should kill it in 1 to 2 strikes. Wor...

Level 11 still havent started Main Quest-Where are you?
I must admit. The random encounters are excellent in this game. They get bigger the higher the level you get. Usually my favorite thing about Eschalon is that you can get to be a little badass with them and then go after main quest and crush it beneath your feet! How have you all been progressing? I...

Re: Just a thanks...
Ive never played Ultima's original games. But I saw the 9th Game and I much prefer isometric like eschalon. Turnbased single player is way to go. Turnbased party is cool too. But I play most games with a single badass protagonist. Its definitely cool and more realistic to play a group of chars that ...

Re: The most noticeable difference ?
Eschalon book 3 is one of the best rpgs out there. I almost wish Book 1 had the same system as this one. Very oldschool.Thats how awesome it is. The story is great, it ties up stuff. What am saying. Ive only played half the game and I already list in top 3 favorite rpgs of all time.

Re: Medicine: is it not worth the trouble?
Medicine is too powerful. If it wasnt for that, I would be able to get 60% resistance to all 4 at level 6.

Re: Difficulty
I just completed Book 2 with a piercing weapon skill of 9. I relied on enkindled weapon and some bless spell as well. General Ghorr was just about how difficult as he should be. But it was the most fun Ive had in a boss fight. We ended up having a game of cat and mouse where we each fought and then ...

Re: Avadon 2 thoughts
I thought it was really hard for a party of 3, but then Im more of a geneforge player. I couldn't finish game on easy. I am used to soloing in Geneforge and Avernum. Avadon 1 was moderate difficulty but the 2nd I think I will have to restart. The tinkermage and shadowalker aren't meant for melee. In...

Will there be a Eschalon Character Wall?
I was thinking that since there are a lot of famous heroes and villains, what about a wall of some of them. An example would be- The guard captain who falls asleep in Book 1 "I Know what you mean." What is his class. Is he a commoner level 4 and a fool level 12 and what stats is he sportin...

I doubt he will come by to start up. However we should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Book 1 Run runs slow on new PC
I got a pc that is windows 8 with a good video card and what not. The computer has all the needed requirements and performance rating is 5 which is lower than my mac and my mac runs fast while this pc runs slow. Its not freakishly slow but its somewhat slow. Does anything else factor into the speed ...

Re: Eschalon Heroes and Villains Alignments!
If he does start up again, he might be merged with The One's forces in book 3. The dialog will be incomprehensible and the only word I can understand is Pizdabol   A NPC of that name could also be the local village idiot who messed up things in the community he is living in without knowin...

Re: Eschalon Heroes and Villains Alignments!
Zbonek was one of the more unpleasant people to grace this pub. He was so persistent that he was almost, but not quite, funny. He acted as if he didn't totally understand English and just kept pounding away trying to get something for nothing. It was really nice when he left. Hopefully he won't sta...
