Re: Geneforge 1 - Mutagen (Spiderweb Software)
The only Linux game version is a really old Exile 3. Jeff doesn't like to program or learn new programming and hasn't had a third party offering to do a Linux port for his games that he's mentioned. The only reason there was an Android version was a company came an offered to do it the one time. How...

Re: First post of the decade! New Years Giveaway!
You do know that the decade doesn't start until next year? Think about it, there was never a zero year to start this calendar. It started with year 1 of the first decade.

Re: my current thief level 14 nefarious rouge
There are two reasons to keep raising alchemy. First it allows you to improve armor to increase armor rating. Second is to make potions for hard combats where you need to heal or duplicate spell buffs.
Foraging is less useful, but provides alchemy ingredients and they can be sold for money.

Re: help with thief build- spolier!!!
You might find it hard to wait until Zeblin for lock picking training since it's easier to pick the lock to get there than batter down the door. Plus there will be plenty of places where you can get loot and experience along the way. Piercing and bow are a good combination especially once you gain t...

Re: The State of the Basilisk, Summer 2017
This probably wouldn't even happen for quite some time, so please- nobody needs to email me on a weekly basis for a spot. I'll let everyone here know when. That infrequently? You don't know fans. One indie company announced a game release date and then players complained when it wasn't available at...

Re: help with weapon store
Stores change their inventory every 7 days. When a store doesn't have enough money to buy your items, you can hope that a store in the last part of the game will have the money since their limit increases from your starting area to the end area. Buy some cheaper items to increase their money so you ...

Even refilling a lantern requires some alchemy, but I can't find it in my notes so it's probably one level.

You can use Divination spells or potions to increase strength and other stats temporarily for just combat. http://basiliskgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=967 gives you a look at the spell way which can help you also to carry more weight back to town. Ogre Strength potion for the alchemy way.
