Re: new screens whetting my appetite
Actually, I'm already noticing the floor is getting distinctly damp in here. Time to get some more sawdust down BW - and invest in a whole lot more!

What happens when you click in the automap panel when you're in the open, with no enemies near - and not in Crakamir, LuvizBlind?

Ah, that's useful to know, phoenix. I notice I have both versions installed on my Hardy system; I'm not sure if this is default, or whether I installed the older version as you've just done.

Re: Eschalon: Book 1 on Fedora 9
Well, assuming you have libstdc++ installed, phoenix, it's probable that libstdc++.so.5 isn't where the game is looking for it. You need to find out where that is and put a symlink there to its actual location. Alternatively, installing the -dev version of the libstdc++ package will sometimes put li...

Re: Eschalon: Book 1 on Fedora 9
Well, a search doesn't show anything, phoenix. However, if you're having problems installing it and getting it to run, it would help if you told us how you installed/tried to install it and what problems you're getting.

Re: Copy Protected Software
And all the more so with Linux versions - so few game developers are making Linux versions that I think it really behoves Linux users to support them. But you still get people, even on reputable Linux forums, trying to wheedle free copies out of people or boasting that they didn't pay for their copy...

Re: Portal In Bordertown
No uses, Stalfos? It takes you to a set of three extremely useful portals... you've just activated one, another won't work 'till you've activated it from the other end and the third is the activation end for another very useful link. AIR you actually have to put all four ingredients in the alembics;...
