Certainly they've always been about the graphics effects etc, BehindTimes. But the difference is that once a game had to be a good game, regardless of the graphics - now it seems that that graphics and effects by themselves are often the only concern.

Yes, it's really good to see game developers seriously considering the Linux market. I suppose the major developers just don't care, but for smaller developers like Basilisk, the Linux market could appreciably augment their sales - and for Basilisk, I certainly hope it does.

Well, saskwach, as I said, I'm using an ATI 9800 XT with the current 7.11 fglrx driver and the demo runs perfectly for me (no tile edges visible, no sound problems). Well, FWIW I've just spent 1/2 hour or so playing the demo and it's running perfectly. I'm running Gutsy on a machine with an AMD 3200+, a Radeon 9800 XT with the current 7.11 fglrx driver and 1GB RAM. I see no tiles! No sound problems, either.
