Re: Golden Demon Statue in Goblin citadel [Spoiler request]
Well, once you're far along and the game and have killed all the enemies in the game, the only ways you can come up with more enemies to kill are by being ambushed while resting and by touching the golden statue. If you're ambushed while resting,it's always by Tauraxes and you never get any drops fr...

Zip the folder up, variol. Then it will behave like a file - and it's be quicker to upload and download, too.

Re: Game crashes when entering vault and saving - no support
What might be better would be to post your save game on a hosting site and post the link here, Variol. That way, you could get several people checking this out to see what happens. Since it is such an unusual error, it would probably be a good idea to have as many people checking it as possible.

Re: Top of Lighthouse
No, NinjaGremlin, apparently there was an intention to make some sort of quest out of this (the boat would take you to another island etc...) but it didn't get into the original release.
There may be a patch at some point to include this, but certainly not 'till Book II is done, and maybe not at all.

Re: Excellent post on Quarter To Three
Quoting people out of context proves nothing. Reading the quote from Thomas Jefferson, my impression was that, if he was talking about anything mentioned here, it would be patents rather than publications: many patents could be described as "ideas," but creations and publications meriting ...

Well, first of all, Variol, you need to tell us the obvious: the specs of the machine you're running Eschalon on.

Re: Going from demo to full game?
Yes, it is, Kasper. AIR in the Linux version, you simply have to install the full game in the same location, and it will pick up and use the demo saves; I'm not sure about Windows or Mac OSs, but at worst you'd only have to copy over the old save files from the old folder to the new.

I rather agree with you on that, Unbeliever - however, it's easy enough to do Control+A to select all the text - this makes it much more legible.

I'd agree with that, although it's useful to have a bashing implement handy for bashing things, rather than as a combat weapon.Dragonlady wrote:As Kreador said, I almost always use a bow/sword combination. For Lore, there are also Loremaster's Rings (+6 Lore). One of these will allow you to identify pretty much anything; two absolutely anything at all, with no Lore skill.
