Re: The Next Game
I'm counting on basilisk games to make the currect choices. i mean, I trust them with whatever they choose. I've seen enough to realize that so far.

personal question to developers about the journal in fathamu
*SPOILER**!! (in fathamurk), there is a an old journal which describes a nice explorer trying to progress his way through "the industry" with lousy pay, and finally dying "happily" even though he failed, he knew he died while doing something he likes. now I'm asking, was that kin...

Re: Magick Users Terrible Early Game?
I've finished all books(1-3) as warrior. started playing as mage in book1 and without the hint of the tree stump, i wouldn't know how to overcome even bandits. so thanks :) warrior are tough to play, but there are lots of ways to manipulate the enemy, such as attacking from a darker point, and crowd...

Re: Bugs/Errors/Exploits/Typos/Glitches (possible spoilers)
I hope you guys won't kill me, because this bug can give you infinite money. Which might have ruined my game, so I'm using it only once. Here it is you slackers: When you kill the scorpions at rock hammer mine, you can get the 300gols from the dwarf there(forgot his name) every time you start the di...

Re: Baldurs Gate EE Controversy-Very Depressing
Could someone please explain this thing. I have searched the web for answers but I can't find out why they removed it. because there isn't, no one but the people involved knows the answer as to why, and they can't reveal it because of non-disclosure-agreements. meaning confidentiality is legally bi...

what's the extended edition does better than the original? you can still play BG2 and its expansion. its pretty decent graphics and sound, more over if you compare it to indies.

Re: RPGs that influenced me the most...
just remembered the even older SSI's- pool of radiance, secret of the silver blades, curse of the azure bonds. all the gateway series also. I just love that tactical hex combat, in the good old D&D setting. i even heard there are remakes of them from the "dungeoncraft" engine, but i ha...

On the style of Eschalon there's 9th Dawn for PC, iOS and Android. No port for Mac now. http://www.valorware.com/9thdawn/ If you like post-apocalyptic setting Underrail is really pretty. http://www.underrail.com Or you can pick up DOSBox emulator and replay some classics like Ultima or Might & ...

Re: games that are as close to eschalon..?
yes I've tried AoD, the camera movements are a drag, and I actually couldn't progress very well with it. I think it's a decent game though compared to what's out there now. I just like that isometric view more, I don't need to strain myself as in other camera movements-especially those that are move...

games that are as close to eschalon..?
I've played avadon's demo, and it was the closest in the "feel"(but something about the graphics wasn't immersive enough like eschalon?).
I've tried avernum, but couldn't get myself into it.
anyone recommends something? there's probably a thread somewhere?

Re: GREAT game!
finally finished it! had to go to fathamurk and do the bells quest too, the bastards in talushorn were too tough before that. didn't expect that ending though, nice twist. what commitment of the developer to keeping that modest approach and truthful to the genre. in some ways its even better than al...
