someone mentionned Cadaver, the first time I've played Eschalon the graphics and mood reminded me of this game : http://www.retro-experience.co.uk/atarist/cadaver.html I found the gameplay of Cadaver quite frustrating (but game was nice anyway), and I prefer Eschalon, also for the quests and outdoor...

I remember I got much problem with 3D game / openGL games before, when the CPU/GPU was computing too much my computer froze. But now I don't have such problem (new kernel, new nvidia driver...). Do you still have ssh access to your machine ? (if it's possible to check). Could you start the game with...

I didn't notice this eschalon.cfg file. But with openAL it's the same unfortunately. I've tried to play the sound files on vlc, the sound is perfect. Strange this problem occurs only after a while. The game performances are between 3 and 5 on my system.BasiliskWrangler wrote:Have you tried both sound drivers?

I don't know if it's the best place to report about this, but I've still some issue with the sound. I thought it was corrected with the second beta, but in fact the sound is ok when we start the game, but after a while it begins to crack and saturate (the sound is already loud at the beginning witho...

hello, is it possible to open sealed barrels, or are they just for decoration ?
I've tried to break one, but I damaged my weapon doing this.

on my computer, oblivion, titan quest, loki and such, with the lowest settings, are unplayable (and ugly) because they are so slow... (guild war is running smoothly on the other hand, with average to high settings). And Eschalon is running smoothly too, with no speed problem. My graphical card is nv...

I've posted a report about Eschalon on http://happypenguin.org/ yesterday or the day before... I hope they'll cover Eschalon just when it will be finally out! I'll buy the book I as soon as it will be out! What development tools have you used on this game ? Which language, and libraries (sdl and suc...

1024x768 is ok for me, but I think the user should have the choice of the resolution. The user interface could remain almost the same, just the window of the game could be wider. It wouldn't resize the tiles and such, just increase or decrease the playfield. Don't forget the Asus EEE and similar com...
