Of course not. I've been unexpectedly disappointed and unexpectedly pleasantly surprised with so many CRPG's over the years that when I buy a new game I just automatically "hope for the best, but expect the worst." Finding the gems more than makes up for encountering the stinkers ...

About how long is Book I in game-play hours if one plays to the end and does a) everything possible and b) the least required to complete the game?

Will the game have difficulty settings?
