If you haven't already, try Culpa Innata.
Its a little rough around the edges at times... but I'd have to say its the best adventure game I've played in a while.

The combat can get a bit repetitive at times... but the story will keep you going. It has that real "I'll just do this one little quest" feel - then realise its 2 in the morning.

Sound problems on Mandriva 2008 - fixed
Just thought I would throw this out there in case anyone came across the same problem....
I originally had no sound (in Book 1 only) using Mandriva 2008. I'm pretty sure I have all the right sound files installed for ALSA, OpenAL etc.
Neither sound option in the Eschalon config was working either ...
