Just started playing this game as well - very fun, it doesn't hold your hand at all. This takes some getting used to when you've been playing newer games that treat you like you're stupid.
Any advice for a party? Do I need a thief?
Oh, and can't wait for the Basilisk EOB type game.

Re: Book II Announcement?

I think words that describe a particular people are some of the most obvious so I think taking them out is a good idea. I also think Demon Oil sounds cool so good job  All the terms I mentioned were the names of particular groups of people (and one nation). Althought you're right, Demon Oil do...

I was playhing Blades of Exile, recently released for free (check it out), and they have a pretty good way of handling it. You eat food as time passes, but you normally have more than you need. However, if you are resting all the time or just wandering around, your food supply will go down and you w...

3) Level 100 is the cap, but there's no way you'll reach that in Book I. That's way out there. Any creatures hidden around in Book I that we're not supposed to be able to defeat? IE, some demons hidden in the deepest depths of dungeons that will probably kill us off the bat in Book 1 (except for th...

An unbeatable opponent is an interesting idea. Unbeatable at least in combat, at any rate. Having an opponent that is utterly indefeatable on every level could be frustrating, but having an opponent that cannot be bested in combat is an idea I like. This would force a player to look for other ways ...
