Oh, wow, I didn't realize Incursion was ever released, I only saw a pre-pre-prerelease version a few years back and I thought it had stalled. (The "Westley Weimer" mentioned on the main screen is the programmer on Broken Hourglass.)

I find I'm just too familiar with ADOM to play anything else. Well ...

Although it won't tell you absolutely everything about every possible permutation of RPG rules, you could do worse than learning D&D. d20srd.org is a good online resource for those rules but it doesn't exactly "read like a book." I would suggest picking up the D&D Player's Handbook and Dungeon ...

Mr. Groo is correct.

Also, all of this "Long Tail" business dances around the fact that it is still a very dicey proposition to R&D new product aimed at the "Long Tail buyer" or whatever you want to call them, because it's a whole lot harder to recover fixed costs that way.

I noticed in a recent interview with the developers of Broken Hourglass, they mentioned penalties for a character facing multiple opponents at one time. Strange almost no RPG's address this.
