While I feel your pain -- and I think your guess about the imbuing sounds like a good one -- you should know that you don't *have* to complete Lilith's quest in order to move ahead in the main quest. You can still go to Blackwater and proceed as if you knew what Lilith was going to tell you.

I'm playing through the game again with a new character and might have a problem.

So, Lilith says go and kill the hive queen and bring back the stinger. I killed the hive queen earlier and already have her stinger , but the game doesn't seem to want to acknowledge this and it the option to show it ...

First post here, the game said to let you folks know and this seemed a good a way as any.
