Escape from Hammerlorne?

Post by lordhoff »

Is there a way to leave and sell loot prior to finding the Crux of Fire? So much loot, so little strength doth my ranger have. I found the emergency "exit" but it takes me to the top of the tower (level 1).

I believe that the Emergency exit lever takes you to a floor that you can still exit (where you came in, as PM mentioned).

The sad part is that there is no shortcut for going back down again. Plus you have to avoid/fight any monsters and dwarves that you left alive the first time.

But --- didn't I get to the first level via a one-way teleport? It didn't take me to the main hall but to the starting point of the first level.

As in the same place that the lever to the lower levels took you to? Not to that lever?

I can be soooo stupid sometimes! It did take me to the grand hall - I then walked into the transporter instead of walking to the NW corner and the exit. Sorry for the false alarm.
