most amount of gold

what was the most amount of gold you had in the game for me it is around 30000 gold

In a game where I did a lot of "rerolling" and sold a lot of Cure Greater Disease potions (very profitable), I got over 40,000, but then I got bored and just killed everything.

The point is that once you get over 12,000 gp, there is like nothing really worth buying, I bought two Brewers Rings (Alchemy +6) Two of the Red Hit point rings (don't remember the name, +20 hp each so +40hp, but it was a lag to put them on, then put them off, and on again and to ahve to regain all of your 40hp.... besides.... a lot of reagents (as I played an alchemist /fighter, non magical at all character).

How are you making money? I'm about done clearing every area but the end area and I've not seen any area's that respawn mobs which drop loot. Goblins no longer spawn when I rest either. Mino's dont seem to drop loot from what I've seen.

Well, there is one place you can always continue getting drops, dorn. The golden statue of a demon in the goblin citadel always spawns goblins (AIR 3 or 4 of them) when you touch it, and I've found you average out about 1 drop per touch killing them.

On top of that, rocketman28 may be rerolling the drops to maximise what he gets from them.

There are other ways to earn money, too: for instance, you can buy armour and weapons, enhance them and sell them again; sometimes for quite a bit more than their original cost plus the cost of the ingredients.

However, I have to say I find the idea of just accumulating money somewhat less than exciting; once you've bought everything you might want, what's the point?

Agreed but I'm about to attack the last area and I want to buy more stuff yet theres nothing left to kill or any area's to explore. The cost of all the spells absorbed a lot of the money I earned by playing naturally.

I suppose I could enchant stuff but my mercantile is low so making money that way would be slow and somewhat cheesy.

i am not re-rolling but i am using the statue and it is really easy to do that all you need is lots of wisdom and you should but a portal there and i also find it fun to get as muck gold as possible and killing goblins are fun to kill
