Help me! Whistling cave spoiler wanted (not the chest code)

So, I have been perusing the posts and I am on my second playthrough of the game, and somehow I missed an entire section of whistling cave -- the SE corner. I was just looking around and it looks as there is more play area and a door lit up somewhere down there....but I don't know how to get in there! There are the 6 levers. I tripped them all, and nothing happened. Do they have to be in a particular order, or....? I don't know, I am assuming something opens up if you do something right, but I either missed the clue as to how to do it right, or I am not figuring out the right combo by trial and error. Anybody?

You're assuming correctly. A specific pattern of set vs. unset levers is necessary. The specific combination is in the Unnoficial FAQ.
