Late 90's/Early 00's RPG Games
Can anyone reccomend me some good Late 90's/Early 00's RPG games? I've been playing Fallout 2, Baldurs Gate and Ultima IX lately and I'm interested in some of the other good games from that time period. Modern Computer RPG's don't really do it for me (barring indy games like Eschalon, Avernum etc)

I seem to remember Planescape: Torment was really good - an unusual emphasis on roleplay over hack'n'slash, which may or may not be your cup of tea. It has some unsual features, such as death not ending the game, and I found it a refreshing change of mood from the typical RPG. It used the same Infinity Engine that Baldur's Gate used, so should play on any machine that runs that (I'm not sure if BG runs under XP or Vista, for example, but it sounds like you've already sorted that one). Baldur's Gate II was also an excellent game, and I'd strongly recommend playing it.
The other Infinity Engine games were Icewind Dale and Icewind Dale II. Personally I found these great fun, but not in the same league of fun as any of the above. Still, I'm sure you could pick them up for very little money these days, so worth a go if you want a pleasant diversion.
Hm, now you've got me wanting to play through them all again...

Also Arcanum and Wizardy 8 were both very good and I believe came out in 2001.
If you liked 2001, you should like Arcanum.
