Post by Iane »

What game/s is everyone waiting for to be released in the indie world of Gaming - apart from Book II what else are you looking forward too.

I'm looking forward to the release of
Torchlight by Runic Games
Overgrowth by Wolfire Games
The Fool and his Money by Cliff Johnson (3 year wait so far :) )
Machinarium by Amanita Design
Cletus Clay by Tuna Snax
DeathSpank by Hothead Games
Age of Decadence by Iron Tower Studio
Din's Curse by Soldak Entertainment
Shadows of Nightside by Flowerpot Games (MMO)

#1 : Avernum 6 from Spiderweb Software (slated for late November, latest news)
#2 : Eschalon Book 2
#3 : Age of Decadence, I think.

Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.

I agree with all of those, Iane. They all look great.

Never heard of Overgrowth - eh, looks beautiful however it is still in it's earliest concept stage. Personally I don't follow games when they are still in the concept stage because I have seen too many never make it to completion. It's like an emotional drain when that happens! :? When Overgrowth hits beta, then I'll be excited! :)

Pretty much all the other games are well into development and likely to be out in the next 6-12 months (well, maybe not Fool's Errand 2). They are all on my "must buy" list as well.

Oh, and Avernum 6!

:D me too, my son right this moment is cussing up a storm as he beta tests it. Clang, clang, arrrrggh!, reboot, clang clang. He's in the other room so I can't see the screen. Seem like its going to be tough and huge with lots of things to do.

I don't think I have to worry about Overgrowth had it Pre-ordered since Alpha 7 or so and Alpha 47 was just released today and there is some Really good talent behind it - I think I've had "Fool's Errand 2" Pre-ordered for close to 3 years now  wish the beta test would hurry up and end :) and "Shadows of Nightside by Flowerpot Games" incase anyone is interested is hopefully to be a new RPG MMO by the same Team (and some) who made MOM

Worst part about beta testing is waiting for the next game section to test. So you spend your time fighting the expert areas that are meant to be played later in the game. :)
