Recently Bought (Games)

Post by MegaHassan »

Thought to make a thread like this, who knows, it may generate some good discussion

So, I bought these games today:

Sacred 2
Dragon Age Origins
Saboteurs
Forza 3

Haven't played Saboteurs yet, but really digging the other 3. Sacred 2 feels generic but a good time passer. Forza 3 is every bit as good as its predecessor (a bit slow though o_O) and improves a lot on a LOT of areas. Unluckily I need to get used to the game again.. playing GRID has f'd up my Forzaness in the last year

Dragon Age is... I dunno what to think of it yet. I've only played 2 hours of it and it feels like the other bioware roleplaying games of the last 4-5 years. Then again I've only spent a short time, lets see how it plays out.

I'm way behind! ;)

But, in addition to Avernum 6, which I bought and have been playing for about a week, I recently bought for myself: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (1), Doom 3, and Quake 4 (which is too advanced to even play well on my MacBook, but it came in a bundle with the other two, so what the heck!!). They haven't arrived yet, which is probably a good thing as Avernum 6 is going to take me a while longer...

I'm jealous :( I'd do anything to play Avernum 6 (great reviews all around) and would love to ditch Microsoft, but I'd never trade in a car with full pedals for one with just 1 pedal, if you catch my drift ;)

Avernum 6 has started Windows beta testing. So the release will be in about 2 months.

I've just been so lost waiting for Book II that I turned to Avernum 6 in desperation. It takes a bit of work to get used to the author's psyche, but the game is a really impressive piece of work. It is just so BIG. It is not Eschalon. However, it is a good way to pass the time so you aren't tempted to pester BW.....

Depths of Peril and AI War+Expansion...coming after a large assortment that came with the Steam sale of heavily reduced offerings.
