Any hints on location of the Repair trainer?

I don't know where, but his location is fixed.

Is that a hint? Or a "don't know"?

It was just a very VERY bad pun. Sorry. No idea. I haven't played any of Book II yet, as I'm waiting for the Mac version.

Cartography is the "anchor" of good navigation.

You will meet the repair trainer later in the game when you go to sell loot.

Or you will meet him early in the game, still at zero experience...

Wondering where the more thief-like arts are taught, since I didn't take lock-picking and would rather not burn the skill points.

So, far I have found the following trainers in Port K. if anyone is interested:

Swords, Crush and Cleave
Divinity and Elemental
Cartography
Alchemy

Well, if your looking for skills a thief would like, then think where a thief would hide best in a town/city? Try somewhere in the sewers...

Only if you don't kill the bugger and oops! there goes one important quest down the tubes..LOL

For them that need help Archery is trained in Fletchers Grove. Another lucrative quest can be obtaines here also, Great rewards for the Archer..AND I ARE ONE

I'm disappointed that there is no trainer for piercing weapons, makes it a bit unfair since there is a trainer for every other weapon category =[

Not quite -- there's no trainer for Unarmed Combat either, and Unarmed Combat *still* fails to provide any bonus to compensate for all the bonuses you miss out on by not having a weapon in hand.

I never found a book for piercieng weapons :/ It's a bit annoying that some books are very (or at least seem to be) common while others are rare.

Having an option to buy all sort of books from the library in Port K. would be nice. [Saving & loading the game for half a day to hunt down one book is not very fun]

You probably have. It's one of the most common books that show up in Eastwillow right from the beginning. But it's also one of those with the most obscure title: A Wraith in the Night.

Never even heard of that one, but I was searching for it at Port K. Merchants, not the ones in Eastwillow thou.

The skill books are easy to recognize based on their price. A quick save/reload and you can identify any you haven't seen before. Between Port K and Eastwillow, there are a decent number of books available each week, but it just comes down to luck of the draw whether the ones you need show up.
