Unreachable Zones
Unreachable Zones
What's the point of putting in "entrances" to zones that you can't go to? I understood the ones around the dwarven city, as my character might reasonably not want to venture out into the tundra. I remember being particularly frustrated when it told me I couldn't enter the Yoma Springs Cavern. The darn thing is even labeled on the map. I feel that you should let the player decide whether or not they want to explore something instead of putting a line of text saying you can't go that way or that "your destiny lies elsewhere."

Re: Unreachable Zones
BasiliskWrangler has hinted it will be part of an add-on, but yeah, it's a little bit strange the way it is now at a few spots.

Then simply don't put an entrance.

I can kind of see this both ways. The cliche fence/trees/whatever that block travel is so used in modern games that I think most people expect it. I actually think it breaks suspension of disbelief less to have the way be open in a direction where it wouldn't make sense to have a barrier, and just explain why the character wouldn't go that way.

Yeah I do see your point there.

Re: Unreachable Zones
The places were put there because the original intent was to use them. The shift to use them for an expansion only occurred recently. By that point it wasn't worth removing them.
