It didn't actually activate the feat, did it?
No. Just stuck an arrow in the loot bag I was picking up.

While there's a lot that I like about Eschalon Book II, probably the thing that impressed me the most was that with my first character, I died, and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it.

I don't mean just, "Oh, crap, the Mire Troll womp'd me. Reload!" I apparently didn't realize the value of Foraging, Repair, and a few other skills. (I was playing a Magic User, and going for True Mage... which means I was resting a lot!) I wound up running out of money doing little things like, oh... eating, and such... and just couldn't make money/find food fast enough. I was very impressed with how believable the rate at which your hunger/thirst deteriorates is.

While my mage was ultimately a failed build, my enthusiasm for the game did not diminish, and I was sure to Forage like a madman with my next character. :)

Firstly hi all!

The thing I liked most about Book II was definitely the gameplay. The game still played a lot like book I even with a lot of new ideas, which IMO is a good thing. Like with Book I it was very addictive, and very easy to spend more time playing while I was supposed to do other stuff.

I also enjoyed character building a lot, especially while sticking to a challenge (in my case the true mage challenge) although I do feel like that bit could be a bit more elaborate.

Still, highly enjoyed playing book II, as I did playing book I.

I thought of something else that's fun in Book II, the subtle little jokes. Things like when you find the empty house on the edge of the frozen lake, you feel like somebody is watching you. So, what book do you find on the nightstand? The Orakur Are Watching!

Not to mention the invisibility potion recipe. :)

Like best? The isometric view combined with nice graphics. Isometric rpgs are almost extinct.

Hehe, I loved playing this game in combination with visiting the pub. Whenever I'd arrive at a town without having a clear idea of what to do, I'd close the game, go to these forums and look for clues, info, stories, news, etc. Unlike mainstream steroid-infused graphic engine games, I get a different feeling with this game. It sucks me in and doesn't let go even if I'd quit (until I beat it of course  ).

Westwillow, oh westwillow. Wouldn't have known about it unless you folks mentioned it. Truly the most atmospheric and might I add the best sidequest in the game. As I listened to the old guy it reminded me of creepy tales by the fire in the woods (I think it was raining at the time, in the game).

Never deny us of secrets! An easter egg hunt is all the more fun with moar eggs! And by egg I mean fire-breathing dragons next time, not mere skeletons to drool over! Dragons! heehee. I'll take dragons over aliens anytime, my good sir!
My swords may be sharp, but so are my wits. I will first draw them and many think I never draw my blades; they are mistaken. It is because none have ever seen them ALIVE... because of my firey breath of course -The legendary Dragon Samurai
