Share your Level 15+ character with me!

Post by BasiliskWrangler »

We are developing the expansion pack for Book II (announcement and more information coming soon) and I need to test it out with a few "real" characters somewhere around level 13 or greater (the expansion is being made for level 15 or greater, but I can use slightly lower characters for testing.)

If you have a character at this level and want to share it with us for testing, take him/her to the Farrock caves and save the game, then .zip your save slot up and email to us.

Notice:
WE CANNOT USE HACKED, HEX EDITED, OR ARTIFICIALLY ENHANCED CHARACTERS!! Only send us a character if you have developed it through natural playing.

You want to be sure this is a character built using 1.04 only, correct? Or does it not matter?

Sure, I've got a mage and a fighter which could work. Did you want to center 'round levels 13-15, or did you want some higher-level chars as well?

Shouldn't matter.

Really, any character above level 13 will work. The add-on is being scaled to be very difficult for levels 13-17, and moderately challenging for 18 and above. We'll take any character level 13 and up.

I can send along my Ranger-Healer hybrid at Level 12, or at Level 18 (somehow I don't have a Save in the middle there!) - which would you prefer? Or would you like both?!

Cool cool - one more question: did you want 'em outside the caves, or does it matter? Near the Monolith?

Sent you my original Ranger, who's level 16 in this save. Looking forward to seeing this dungeon myself.

Thanks!
I've sent my Cleaving Weapons specialist with Divination support. Level 13, with level 14 button flashing.
In the save he's ready to enter the bit that says 'Your fate awaits elsewhere'. I'm fairly sure that's where the entrance for the add-on is.

Oh, you probably already know mages are overpowered and find all content trivial, but I sent my L15 Mage with a major in elemental and a minor in divine, of the light armor (as opposed to no armor) wearing sort. She's from my first play, so not only naturally developed, but also not min-maxed.

I pulled her right out of the Hammerlorne mines and didn't stock up special for new content.

I'm a little confused about which files you want. I saved the game in slot 2, but there are 113 files in the Slot 2 folder. Most end in .map, .ent and .opq. What exactly are you after?

Just .zip the whole slot2 folder and send it to BW - that's what I do! :)

Yep, this is the preferred method.
