Will 1.04 savegames work with 1.05?
Will 1.04 savegames work with 1.05?
Just askin'... my character isn't very far, she has just wrapped the sewers in Kuudad for the first time.

I have never been to the Ruins so I guess my character can go to all the new areas, right?Jedi_Learner wrote:Your saved games will continue to work after you install the latest version. Depending on where you've been though, some of the new content like the expanded Zoological Ruins will not be available unless you start a new game.
And before anyone asks, it doesn't matter if you've already been in the Farrock Caves in an older version, you can adventure in Fathamurk when version 1.05 is installed.

It depends if you have been in the map section that contains the ruins. It is possible to reach Port Kuudad without going that way.Layney wrote:I have never been to the Ruins so I guess my character can go to all the new areas, right?
Otherwise you could save to a new slot and delete the three file for that zone to see what happens.

What are the names of the files for that map and is deleting them helps solve the issue ?

The map with new content is Northwest Kessian Basin, 5148.map. If you remove that and all the other 5148.* files from your save game slot, then you should be able to re-enter the map and get the new content. Note that this will also cause all the enemies on the map to re-spawn, including the sentinel stalks around the mage tower.
Of course, this is not officially supported and may break your game. To be safe, back up your save game before modifying it.
