total number of quests ?

Post by john »

Ok I finished. I'm curious how many quests exist; the game sez I did 30 of them. I know I did not hunt down the treasure (did find the map but then forgot about it). I think I did the rest but who knows. I was level 22. I suspect 23 is possible.

btw I had neither of the endings mentioned in teh faq. I was able to convince K. we didn't need to destory the crux; the one appeared and the game ended.

For a list of quests, see http://www.basiliskgames.com/forums/vie ... =12&t=3899

Technically, 30 is the maximum level, but there aren't enough monsters and quests in the game to get that much XP. You'd have to spend a lot of time camping and waiting for random encounters. See http://www.basiliskgames.com/forums/vie ... =12&t=4109

ack 34; so missed 4 :( Hum; this is weird teh assistance from lorewitch quest never showed up in my book. When I returned the crux he mentioned the place; and I went there and found the sword but it was never a 'quest' in the book. Am I suppose to bring the sword back to him ? (this is 1.05 linux version)

-
no clue what yoma narrows is or who phensil was
-
totally missed the hunter
-
seems like those were the only 3 i missed; soemthing odd with 'wolf ring' i see can only do one or the other; can't do both so maybe only 33 quests.

You're supposed to bring back a chalice from Lorewitch. Stealing the sword while you're there is just a non-quest bonus.

At the very beginning of the game, go south one map. There's nothing there but some scenery and a guy who gives you a message to deliver to Port Kuudad. Easy to miss unless you're an exploring completionist, because there's no other reason to go that way.
totally missed the hunter
Also very easy to miss - too easy, some might say. I only found Hunter's place in Wolfenwood because I had heard about it on these boards. I wonder what percent of people legitimately found it on their own. Of course, now that I know that trick I'll be on the lookout in Book III for large areas of trees with no obvious purpose.

True. You have to give one or the other proof that the other is dead. Sadly there's no option to pickpocket Xed and take his ring. I believe that completing either one removes both from your quest log, though.

Actually, you're supposed to bring a chalice TO Lorewich. After bringing back the Crux, he tells you to talk to the wizard member of the Crius Vindica, who tells you to ask for help from the mages of Lorewich and gives you a trophy chalice to give to them in exchange.

Sigh - ok he did say something but i missed it and then it was gone and I couldn't reread it :(

Oh well good excuse to play again as a warrior. At least that way I'll be able to use some of the nifty weapons/armors :)
