At level 10, you shouldn't be in Baron's Thicket. I'll say no more.

Great! Glad to hear I'm an overachiever AND a whiner! Seriously, I appreciate your suggestion that I am in over my head here, but unless I have completely missed something (a skill at which I excel) I need to be in Baron's Thicket to get the skull for the giant to continue.

I haven't completed the ossuary exploration, nor completely wandered through the southwest deserts, but I don't know what's left to do to increase my level to something more appropriate to face the raptors and whatever else lies ahead. I just finished the Divine Ore miniquest (a long tedious process) and am about 1100 XP from level 11.

Maybe I've peaked too soon (I hear that a lot....).

Here's all I have left to do. If I should go work up a couple of levels I'd be happy to benefit from suggestions as to where and how.

If you're only at level 10, CobraEye, there still must be a lot of areas you haven't done yet. And you don't need the Giant's Skull until near the end of the game.

Weeeellllll... Looking at your quest log I see that you have the ossuary to complete (as you've also stated) and apparently a lot of Crakamir to explore. Try doing those before going back to Baron's Thicket. There's some good adventures to be had in S & SW Crakamir.

As for overachiever? There's a screenshot of a level 2 character in Bastion Spire finishing the game.
