I've played TP a couple of times, but I've never been one for board games... I blame it on this horrible age of computers that is upon us... where you can play games with anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Why is that bad? There's room for everything.

It's like when people keep saying (over and over) that books will eventually die out: it's a silly notion. Leaving the house hasn't died out, and books won't, either. There's room for everything, both virtual and physical, and both the virtual and the physical are desired and necessary.

My father told me a cool story today about my nieces. (Backstory: my sister and brother-in-law are rich, so they spoil their kids. My brother-in-law in particular showers them with all these expensive toys.) One day my brother-in-law brought my father down into his basement and showed him this massive fort that the kids had build out of boxes. He was beside himself. "I bought them all these great games and stuff and all they want to do is play with boxes!"

Hit up the newly opened Goodwill near work today...they had a few games (classic Prince of Persia, Battlefield 2 + expansion)...almost picked up B2 +Exp, but then I looked inside the cases...lo and behold, someone stole the discs...

I guess that's one downfall of shopping for games there.

I guess somebody like me should've caught the sarcasm. I guess I might have except for the final clause. Then again, in retrospect, maybe the sad face should've given me a clue.
