Those are some miserable allergies, Dragonlady... especially the one with the plastic. Sorry to hear it. :(

As for the soybean one: that one would just about kill me. Since I don't eat meat: my diet relies to a not insignificant extent on soybeans.

Yes, it is a bummer. A heck of a lot of 'diet' foods in the grocery stores use Soy. I'm not totally allergic to it, just 'sensitive'. It depends on how it was processed and how much I eat. In the process of making some MSG is formed..sooo..
Same thing with paprika and a few other products. Also, sensitive to oat and wheat bran. And what do they tell you when on a diet to lose weight? Eat lots of bran! Grrrr.

Damn . . . what's left, white bread?

Are you only allowed to eat things that are bad for you?

Oh yeah, I forgot . . . I think white bread is often augmented with white sugar. I could be wrong on this, though... . Haven't checked the sugar content on white bread, lately.

Anyhow, these are some crazy allergies. I feel bad, now.

You should launch a protest against your allergies. Can you sue your own body for being allergic to things nobody should be allergic to?

Heh, sounds like it, but no, I can eat fruits, most veggies and range fed cattle/chickens/turkey. No white bread. BUT can eat French bread. It doesn't have any sugar except the tiny amount given to the yeast to get it going when you first mix it up. Got the okay on this from dietician and I only eat about 3-6 slices a week. Have open face sandwichs for the most part so that cuts down on a lot of bread. Eat waaay too much pasta though. :D

As for sueing, with my luck I'd end up allergic to the lawyer! Then again maybe not, my younger sister is a lawyer but not practicing at the moment but does keep her fees paid so she can if she wants to.

If this keeps up, it'll just roll into your next birthday.

I think every day should be Dragonlady's birthday in Eschalon. We can just keep the celebration going all year long.

Well I don't mind as long as someone brings enough chocolates and sapphires! :D

And I'll provide lasagna and my special orange flavored fudge, its to faint over its so good.

[just ask the people who work with my husband and you used to be able to ask my relatives, but most of them are gone now. - they all ask how it's made. Rich, creamy, melts in your mouth...and your hands  ]

edit: OH! I made Captain! *Woot!*

Heh, welcome to the club. Now you can say cool stuff like: "This is your captain speaking, there may be some slight turbulence during the flight." And being a dragon makes it even more fitting. 0_o

Hello, This is your gold-rank Officer speaking, and I suggest that people should listen to me more.

I've got the Stars after all! The Stars! Three of them! Gold! Hard to come by!

...Anyhow, damn... Captain already, both of you?

Ostensibly, I've been absent too long.

Blame it on my loss of internet access. Right now I'm on dial-up. But when I return to Boston I'll have at least a reliable Cable connection, if not wireless again, finally, but this time a reliable wireless connection, whee!

You know . . . it's really lame having to go the library to check your email accounts... and be afforded only a measly half hour to do it in... and have to sit next to somebody who types W A Y T O O G O D D A M N L O U D L Y.

Me: "Hell, man, do you have to type so loud?"
Him: [incoherent, keeps on banging the keys, bang bang bang, then the mouse: wap!]
Me: "I mean, for one thing you're gonna break the keyboard, man."
Him: [silence]
