Not to be repetative :shock: but I too feel that the current engine is far more than good enough. I hope that Book II will use the same engine with some tweaks; but I would be far more interested in having Book II asap :D

I was thinking today about having a prgression system for classes....or titles if you prefer a classless system... I used to love in bards tale that if you got to a certain level in a bunch of mage classes you could become an archmage. Really built up the development of characters and the excitement ofa new powerful class.

Thomas looks like your engine is a hit so far;)

Well, "the engine" is really a collection of modules working together, and several of these modules are highly streamlined for a single-character game. Even if we use this engine for Book II, several modules have to be rewritten to support more party members and a traditional turn-based system.

Everyone should wait until after playing Book I before we discuss what to do for Book II. We have some cool ideas for engines, but now is not the time to discuss them. :wink:
