Oh another one I forgot.. Space Rangers 2:).. A very nice space rpg where you fight the robots.. It had some very fun quest. Like one where you are some 3 legged animal with alot of eyes and have to eat, dig your hole deeper, and then atlast fight the big guy:)
Probably doesn't make much sense if you haven't played the game:/

Hmm not sure I could create a list without leaving some out....but here is a shot at it.
I think it all started for me with Ultima III. My dad got a C64 and bought me dungeon algebra, I hated it! But my cousin had Ultima III and used to stay at our house alot. He showed it to me and from that day on I think we fought for the PC after school everyday for a year at least!
Others I have found memories of are:
Ultima IV
Ultima VI and VII
Wasteland (not huge into post nuclear games but this one was great)
Bards Tale II
Might and Magic I and II (didnt play Xeen series that much)
Gold box Games (Pool of Radiance etc....)
I have played almost all of them over the years but these jump to mind for me.

I recently looked at ADOM...it does appear to be a really cool game.
I don't have the time to play it right now, but I'd like to hear more about what made ADOM such a great game for you guys.

ADOM stand for Ancient domains of mistery. Its a old-school rpg without real graphics... It uses ASCII simbols to draw stuff
I'm doing one of those games to on c++ but it advances very slow(maybe I'l put some screenies)

It's not really an "old school" game, but rather what is commonly called a "rogue-like", which are games using ASCII images for graphics. They generally have a fully-functioning rule set engine, but no graphic support, so ASCII-type stuff is used instead. For example, the player character is often represented as a @ symbol.

Just remembered another one... Kotor 1

Very nice game, although it didn't matter much which feats and powers you choosed as long as you could heal yourself and do power attacks:/

I really, really tried to get into the KotoR games but for some reason I never could. I think I found them to be too linear...I really couldn't just take off and explore the Star Wars universe on my own.

I thought The Sith Lords was a far, far better game than the first. The first one was pretty good, but terribly predictable. When I got the game, I wasn't very far in before the "suprise" was glaringly obvious and I stopped playing, uninstalled it and pretty much forgot about it.
I was given TSL for Christmas last year and I took a while to get around to playing it, but when I did I was pleasantly surprised. Far different and better than the first installment. It's only a shame that LucasArts stepped up the release date and forced a hastened ending. Hopefully the restoration project actually manifests with a playable mod some day.
