The collector's edition of DungeonLords is very good. Most of the content has been added and the bugs crushed. Do not get any version but the Collector's edition or misery will follow. You have been warned.

The only RPG's I dislike these days are JRPG's (after the SNES) and I have to admit I don't really like Bioware RPG's these days...they seem more like soap operas than games lol.

My favourite RPGs ever are

1) Exile 2
2) Arcanum
3) Ultima 6

Ultima 7 would be #3 instead if it'd had turn based combat.

Honorable mentions to Exile 3, and Savage Empire.


Savage Empire is the only one of those I've actually finished, and I finished both Eschalon 1 & 2, which is a pretty great grade for Eschalon. That has more to do with better pacing, not getting sidetracked etc, I still like the others better for overall experience.

Darksun: Shattered Lands (too bad Wake of the Ravager was poop)
9) Neverwinter Nights (horrible campaign, but the tools were great)
10) Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant (a sentimental choice; it took me ages to beat as a little kid)

"10) Realms of Arkania - Blade of Destiny: I tried so hard to like this, the ideas within, and just the sheer size of it, it appeared to be a fantastically well-thought out RPG. But, I found too much within it seemed to be filler, so many houses/residents that didn`t interact, some horrible bugs, and a plot that seemed to disappear part way through the game. The early "Ship of Death" quest didn`t always materialise, and being so early, couldn`t always be completed fully with a starting character. Perhaps I was really unlucky with a bad copy, but to almost have a fantastic game at my fingertips, very exasperating."

I played through Shadows over Riva and Startrail. I beat them, but I hated every second of it (guess I was more patient as a kid, now I would have dropped them after a day).
