Quest ending bug (mild spoilers)?

(In 1.04) When you talk to Lilith while having the stinger she asked you for, but choose the "I don't have it yet" option, you don't get another chance and you can't complete the quest. I did it just for kicks today and had to reload. Perhaps this was intended, but I doubt it...
