Music in the Eschalon by Bjorn Lynne?

Hi!
I recently downloaded the demo and throughly enjoyed it. However, there was something that kept nagging me about it. A sense of familiarity, to say (not coming from the fact that I've played a few RPG's in my past, though..)
Listening to some songs on my playlist made me realise the cause. There are quite a few songs from Bjorn Lynne on the soundtrack. I skimmed through the credits of the game, but didn't find any mention towards him from there.

Why would you even post something like this on the web board? You should email the authors of the game about it, or, better yet, email Bjorn Lynne about it and let him deal with it if it needs to be dealt with. Making strange veiled threats is not the way to go.

These tracks were legally purchased from shockwave-sound.com. Yes, Lynne is the composer. There are thousands of royalty free music tracks to purchase on the web for as little as $20. It's not uncommon to hear the same track being used in different games, especially in indie games.

That's good to hear, sorry about the confusion. I realised myself that email might've been smarter option. I've grown too distanced from email nowadays... Didn't mean it to sound like a threat.
That's a really smart way to handle the music for indie games actually. Hopefully we'll see more great composers doing the same thing (so that you won't run into the same song all the time

)

It would be appropritae to credit the composers by name in the credits sequence. It sounds like they're essentially giving their music away; yet it plays a very important role in this game (I think it's some of the best game music I've heard!).
I'd actually be surprised if named credit wasn't part of the terms of the license? In any case, it's the right thing to do, with such a low price, royalty free license.

Here's the relevant portion from their license agreement, no requirement but considered good practice:

You are not required to credit us for the music. It is however generally considered to be good practice to always credit the composer.
