"Eschalon: Book I" looks fantastic. I can't wait.
I fell in love when I read your mission statement. That in itself is like a trip down memory lane.
Dukin' it out with Werdna...Contra-Dextra Ave...lomilwa...tiltowait...
99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers
Desert Rangers....rip a clip...figuring out how to use the rope in the sewers by the screen caps on the package...
Yeah... I could go on and on.
good luck guys, and (as i've already said) can't wait for your game.

The graphics look cool

When can we expect this game to be released ?
I would like to know more about the storyline & world.

Thanks Dagon!
As for the storyline...all we're saying right now is that your charcater starts the game unaware of who he is and the first part of the game is spent uncovering his past. Keeping the story arc (and game world history) secret is part of the intrigue; this secrecy
is part of the story itself! We hope this enhances the role-playing experience by allowing the player to uncover the game world at the same pace as his in-game character does.
We actually have posted small "secrets" here and there that are clues into the story, and we will continue to do this until the game's release.

A great "Hallo" from me to the guys at Basilisk Games!
I wonder if there will be localized versions of the Game for the European market or will it be published only in the USA?

Sorry, there are currently no plans to produce alternate language versions...unless the game is wildly successful and we can afford to hire someone to do it, or we get an offer from a publisher to handle it.
The game will be sold online (downloadable), so you should be able to buy it anywhere in the world.

Thanks corwin...and much thanks to RPGDot for all the coverage they've already given us. I think it was RPGDot who first discovered our project and announced it to the world. You people rock!

Just like to add my best wishes as well. Do you guys know yet what Windows platforms the game will work on, have you done any testing yet on the beta versions of Vista?

Eschalon should work on Windows 98SE and later. We've tested it successfully on 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP. 256MB of RAM will probably be the minimum recommended, and we're not sure about CPU speed. No Vista testing has been done yet.
Basically, if the free demo runs okay on your system then the full retail version will be okay.

Don't forget about the ritual in the end game of the Magic Candle to contain Dreax.
I cannot wait for this game to come out, keep up the good work. It would seem Indianapolis is becoming an indie game development hotspot what with Basilisk and Crosscut in the same city.
