Serious combat bug (turns out of sync)

Hey
I'm using the linux version of Eschalon Book I I downloaded a couple of days ago. As far as I can tell there are no linux patches available. Does it mean it's already patched ?
Anyway...
You don't have to wait until monsters finish their turns. This allows you to act faster than them if their animation takes long. For example, when I'm hiding in shadows and bashing a walking corpse, I can bash it twice per turn by clicking second time before it stops moving. Walking corpse has quite long movement animation. I tested it, and it works - I can attack the corpse and then attack second time while it's moving away. Both hits can result in damage dealt.
Another monster which is easy to exploit is dimensional eye. I'm not sure about attacks (they have very long animation), but by moving fast you can avoid being attacked every turn. Poor eye has to wait until animation finishes.
