The Drunken Lizard Pub

I stumbled onto a mod for NWN that is just fantastic, it's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

Its a mod that you can download free if you have NWN and the expansions (Can get it for 19.99) called Tortured Hearts. Its a wide open non-linear old school exploration type RPG that is tough and definitely for hardcore gamers. It says its in the realm of 60 - 100 hours to finish. There are interesting NPC's all over and they way you speak to them has effects on what you get out of them. It rewards exploration because there are things to be found and interesting people to talk to all over the place.

If you like these types of games I highly recommend this one so far (Im not that far into it). The cool thing is the 60 - 100 hours in only part 1! There is a part 2 that was just released last year and Its even higher reviewed than part I.

There have been some complaints about the dialog from some people on RPGCodex, but the mod has a very high review rating and I have enjoy it immensly so far.

In this mod if you go somewhere as a level 1 character your very likey to die.

Thanks for the heads up on this - looks interesting, and I've already downloaded and installed.

It's definitely old school as far as pace and difficulty. I have played quite a bit and Im only level 4. All the fights are quite tough and I did have to look up the online hints for some of the quests.

This mod makes you think for yourself and in the early levels most fights are quite tough.

That being said, its great to have a game that doesn't think for you and makes things a challenge.

Let me know what you all think if you play through it. (Without spoilers if possible)

What kind of complaints about the dialog? Derogatory dialog or just badly written?
