dose anyone know how to down grade eschalon to 1.02

I assume you mean without having to re-install and patching it up to 1.02. You could try backing up your save slots, then re-install the game and applying the 1.02 patch. Copy your save slots to the the new installation. I do not know if the 1.04 saves will work with 1.02 Eschalon. Maybe BW can give you more information.

i can start from scratch but how do i do it and how do i reply the 1.02 patch

I'm really confused. Are you running Windows? If so, why are you posting in the Mac support area?

If you are using a Mac, then don't try to install the Windows patches.

Are there even any patches for the Mac version of the game? I bought the full download and am not aware of any Mac patches, but since the the patch links are STILL missing from the Eschalon: Book I game webpage, it is very difficult to tell which patches are available...

The Mac version was released as 1.04. There is no such thing as a "1.02 version" for the Mac.
