Two Worlds

Anyone play this game?

I initially stayed away from it because it looked like an Oblivion clone and Oblivion was a big dissapointment to me.

I saw it for 15$ so I picked it up figuring its been patched up by now.

I actually am enjoying it quite a bit. It's a wide open large world to explore in the Oblivion style but doesn't have the same crappy level scaling that Oblivion had, nor are the dungeons and keeps generic like those in Oblivion.

It doesn't have much of a story, but its good enough that I find it playable.

Combat is pretty much a clickfest though.

If you like a wide open explorable worlds with many things to discover, lots of different types of armor and weapons to find and a decent challenge you should like this game.

The game didn't get very good reviews, but Im not really sure why. Might have been buggy at release but the current 1.6 version is pretty stable.

Its a pretty tough game when you start, which I like because I think games are generally too easy now.

I have Two Worlds, and enjoy it. The SP game is challenging, but fun. The online component is interesting - you essentially connect to a town, and then either create or join a game. Online is pretty much a quest-fest. Not much of a story out there from what I recall. But, there are more character classes available when playing online.

Im not much of an online player.

It's not a great game by any means but its better than I expected. I really like all the armor sets and weapon upgrades available, although there seems to be a lack of 1 handed swords.

Mounted combat is rather fun as well, I enjoy riding around exploring the wilderness on my horse and then charging an enemy when I see em.

The writing is pretty amateurish but its decent enough for me to facilitate quests giving and some background story. I would definitely recommned turning voices off though, voice acting is horrid. (Although I do that for most every game).
