I've been familiarizing myself with the features of the boards here, and truth be told, I am having problems with the "quote" feature. You know...you type in a response to a topic, and in that response, you feature a quote from a prior entry. I seem to be doing it wrong, and would greatly appreciate any help offered.

I just click the "quote" button in the lower right hand corner of the post, and then start typing my response... Is that not working for you?

Wow-! I actually got it. Thank you Hawkwind-! I can't understand, now, how I was messing it up. Of course..now that I've learned a new thing...something else has to be pushed out of my head in order to make room. Ah well...such is life.

The first part had a '/' in front of the word 'quote'. The only time you use that is at the end. It lets the software know your done quoting. The thing I find hard about that is different forum use different symbols at the beginning and the end of the word. Some use '<...>", most use '[...]'. And I forget which one to use at times.

At times, I at least feel fortunate enough knowing the two most important keys of all upon a computer, which are labeled...

Key one: "Make go..."

Key two: "Make not go..."
