The Drunken Lizard Pub

In the whistling cave, the chest with the slider lock will not slide to the number needed to open the chest. In an attempt to explain this without spoilers, it only settles on X -1 and X + 1, infuriatingly never settling on X... no matter how sensitive I am with the mouse or how many hours I try to set it. Using the clue provided, that was the first thing I thought of and when I saw I couldn't use that number, I spent way too much time trying to figure it out.... only to find I was right all along after reading this forum. Is this a new bug with 1.05?
