If you are having trouble purchasing Book I from the
purchase page (which uses Plimus for processing orders), below are our alternate purchase links:
BMT Micro
Eschalon: Book I [Windows]
Eschalon: Book I [Macintosh]
Eschalon: Book I [Linux]

*Thank you* for providing this! (and finally too!). Managed to purchase a copy (after 3 failed attempts with the other vendors) with minimal fuss. BMT Micro don't insist on a phone number like Plimus do and the copy of Eschalon delivered was uncrippled by DRM (which the Playgreenhouse version had). It didn't even need a serial number - which Playgreenhouse's version had also insisted on.
The only gotcha is their download process is rather sensitive - if you stop it for any reason, you can't resume as the download URL gets disabled. I had to email BMT Micro to get the link re-enabled (since I stopped it in the browser to copy the link to my download manager). This presumably means anyone getting their copy this way needs to be zealous about making their own backup copies.

BW, I'd suggest making this 'stickied' so it doesn't get lost.

Does this BMT Micro version on the cd comes with dvd case and original game cover?
Like this one
Is this BMT Micro version of the game the latest version (1.05)?

Unfortunately, no.
That picture is of our CD, which was produced as a limited run and sold out last summer. The BMT Micro version is, as far as I know, just a CD-R burned with the setup file and a printed label. It is a service that BMT provides to their customers- we have no contribution to it nor do we see any extra revenue from it.
We are going to run twice as many CDs for Book II, and for those of you who really want a Book I CD, we do have plans to produce a Trilogy Collector's Edition after Book III is out, which will have a reissued disc of Book I with it.

Hello
Could it be possible to make available for download
high definition pictures of the cover and CD label, so that one could print them for his own burnt CD? (It's a shame there were so few of the original available...

It's rare that spam makes me smile.
I definitely noticed a lack of colorful snow in Book I, you guys need to work on that with subsequent games.
Sometimes... I get the odd feeling that my mind is a danger to society.

Thank you. As soon as I can get the order with Plimus canceled I'll try one of the above.

Edit: Oh duh, sorry - didn't notice this was in the Book 1 forum. There
was a limited run of Book 1 DVDs available some time ago, but they've been sold out for some time. BW has said that he's pretty likely to put out a "trilogy" physical set once Book 3 rolls around, so if you want Book 1 in physical form, that'll probaby be the best you can do. Book 2 on DVD is still available, though.
(original response follows, which is incorrect for Book 1)
I believe there are still DVDs available from here:
http://basiliskgames.com/purchase
Note that the DVDs (as you'd expect) do have an older version of the game on them (or I assume they still do, anyway); you'll want to download the most recent version anyway once you've gotten the physical version to get all the latest bugfixes (and the Fathamurk expansion, etc).
