Hello. I've downloaded the Eschalon demo and I'm pretty interested in it. I want to by the game, but I'm not sure that I should wait until Book Two comes out and buy that. What do you think I should do?

1. Well you won't do in Book I what you'll be doing in Book II, so if you want the whole story, you're going to need Book I to get it.
2. There won't be any sort to compilation until Book III, as per the latest word from BW...
3. Steam has it for $15.99 at the moment, not a bad deal.

Book I has a lot of player exploitable flaws that should be eliminated by Book II when we find some new ones. It's not a bad game with the combat flaws, but it's different from what you are used to over on Spiderweb Software.

Well you should definately buy it....all proceeds he gets from book 1 go back into the games and ensures he makes more....
And...its definately a great game:)
ps: Definately not the same as spiderweb games....it will be different then previous games;)

so there will not be any boxed version before Book 3 then? my friend bought Book 1 but didnt like it so he gave it to me along with some other games on a CD, and i loved it, but im a box, manual and papermap kinda guy, so a simple file on a burned CD-R doesnt exactly cut it for me.

Maybe, its been talked about. It all depends, I think, on how well the first two games sell. The more that sell the more money is on hand to pay to get the extras. So, buy Book 1 now, tell all your friends to get it two and the same for Book 2. When there was a CD for Book 1, it did have extra goodies. Manuals, cloth/paper maps cost a lot of money.

If you have an extra $1000 dollars or two lying around, donate them to the cause and perhaps you will get the extra goodies you like.

most of my friends would only "lower" themselfes to play some action or shooter game on console, so making them buy Eschalon will prove to be rather difficult
well, if manual & maps are to expensive how about a DVD box and a disk? then only a print for the case will be needed.
