Spell disappearance!

Aight,
so this is my first time reaching the city of Blackwater where I finally found some higher level spells (tier3). I had a nice amount of money stashed up along the way (~11k) so I bought them all. Once I played around with the portal spell in blackwater I decided it's time to go test out supernova on some badass enemies around. Well I screwed up sort of, by casting it too close to the gate guards so they took some damage too. Well no worries I just reloaded the game from the point where I had just bought the spells and learned them. I remembered having some trouble with lizards in the hole in western tangletree forest and thought supernova would help me out big time! I started to make my way there and on the way I switched to the spell "Predator sight" since it was night. Once I reached the hole and was gonna select supernova, I noticed that all my tier3 spells were gone from my spellbook. All tier2 spells I had bought from Blackwater too were still in the book and accessible. But what happened to my tier3 spells? :O
Anyone encountered a similar issue? My last save before buying and learning the spells is like four hours of gameplay behind and don't feel like playing it again, nor do I have money to buy the spells again (if the vendor even has them anymore or has plans on restocking anytime soon).
The weirdest thing is that I have a saved game I can restore, where I have bought the spells->learned them->selected supernova lvl3 to be active on my mouse and I can cast it, but when I open my spellbook none of the tier3 spells can be seen there. Is there any other way to deal with this problem then re-playing from the older save and re-buy all the spells and hope they will stay in my spellbook from there on? :O
This really pisses me off big time, had so much fun with this game but if I have to re-play from the older save I gotta say I think I'd rather start from the very beginning or just play some other game ;( I usually do save on several slots, but today morning (spent the last 7h 30min playing book1) when this kinda stuff happened I ofc was only using a couple of save slots and quicksave. :<
Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated!
