Reusing saved characters from Book 1?

Hi guys,
I just got this idea. Book II would allow us to reuse saved characters that we used to beat Book I. The game could automatically scale up the difficulty since we would be starting with higher-level characters. Some other games let you do this. Your thoughts?

This has already been covered, everybody starts at level 1 with a new character.

Correction: Everybody will be starting with what is "presumed" to be their Book I character, but after he(/she) has let his(her) skills atrophy over several years to the point where the character is equivalent to Level 1 again.
(Unless of course you never played Book I before Book II - then your character is just assumed to be some bloke who's Level 1...

)

Um . . . so . . . essentially the same situation as Book I.
"You were once a man of many great skills (despite remaining unknown throughout Thaermore). Too bad you have to relearn them all! Ha ha ha ha! Oh, wait a minute... ."
